Drawball

For the art or sociology fan, I submit to you: Drawball. Drawball is a large circular flash based painting system not unlike the oekaki board. But unlike the oekaki system, the Drawball is one singular canvas that everyone can paint on. Whereas Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that anyone can edit, Drawball is a canvas anyone can edit. This is both good and bad, as multiple artists can team up to create large works, or one artist can draw a penis on top of someone else's creation. You only get so much ink at a time, so you can't just paint indefinitely. If you want to do something big, you have to save up your ink beforehand. You'll find all sorts of interesting doodles, and scribbles. You'll see various cultural icons, such as Yoshi from Super Mario and Jack Skellington of Nightmare Before Christmas. However, the part about Drawball that I liked the most is that sometimes a piece will get protected, so that no one can paint on top of it, and it can get added to the Hall of Fame where you can watch the piece be painted in fast motion. In some instances, the piece is created start to finished without being disturbed. In other instances, an artist will have to start over or re-paint portions of the canvas because the painting was vandalized. A neat thing to take a look at, especially if you're prone to doodling in order to stab off fits of boredom.
