Like most boys my age during the late eighties and early nineties, I had the
Ninja Turtles bug. And while I don't really keep up on the Turtles universe much these days, I still like to see new installments and developments pop up on the radar, and give me a fuzzy feeling. While it is certainly not the same as it was back during the days of the original cartoon and the trilogy of movies, it is still alive, and I'm glad to see that it has endured over the last twenty-two years. It's hard to believe it's been that long, but it has. I'm pleased to see that a
3D CGI movie is coming out in March of 2007. It looks quite nice, a lot better than that other attempt at making a
3D Turtles series back in 2001. It's not incredibly realistic, as it maintains a cartoon feel, but the animation looks quite competent and detailed, with a lot of texture and fluidity. The trailer doesn't really offer much indication of the content of the movie, but that's only to be expected from a teaser trailer nine months prior to release. I look forward to seeing the first full trailer in time.
